The face-to-face interpreting service and the remote video-interpreting service in Italian sign language (LIS), available through our CSB Communicare Senza Barriere platform, intend to promote the elimination of communication barriers and are aimed at all resident Deaf citizens.
in Lombardy who can use it for free.The aim is to provide, to each user who registers on the platform, the possibility of having full and concrete access to communication in all contexts of daily life, in contact with public institutions and beyond (such as schools, municipalities, pharmacies, libraries, information desks, etc.) excluding the area oriented towards health and social health services (medical visits, booking at the CUP, day care centers, nursing homes, etc.), whose interventions are already regulated by the Lombardy Region according to other channels.Thanks to this service, each deaf person will be encouraged and offered the possibility of communicating through their mother tongue through the availability of an interpreter in presence or remotely.
